I don't know what "cougar bars" are, but I think I know what a "cougar" is. This is just a guess, but they are probably bars aimed at attracting 40+ women who are searching for younger guys or younger guys who are searching for older women. I think some might consider women 35+ cougars while most would have it at closer to 40 and over.
