I am a single mother of 2 small children i just moved to Ottawa in June from Nova Scotia. I am looking to meet a guy for friend maybe more. I am going to Carleton University in September.

We aren't ALL gay. I've never tried them, but there are several sites geared towards meeting new people (LavaLife, FriendFinder, etc). Of course you have to pay for them. I know of two people who have used them. One ended up getting a mail order spouse from overseas and the other ended up with a psycho ex. Your mileage may vary. Do you have any interests? There's a group for everything these days, try one of those. Alternatively, I'm sure you'll meet lots of people once you start school.
